When we look at the sugar content, all of them are quite high.
Please remember the sugar in fruits are not added sugar and occur naturally in fruits.

When it comes to tropika its basically just sugar and sodium.. Which is really not the best combination. It also has a dairy basis so just be aware if your child struggles with coughing and phlem, this will just make the situation worse.

The woolworths orange juice has got vitamin C aswell but no Fibre. If you choose to give fruit juice it’s best to dilute it with water or give very small amounts.

The fresh fruit is in my opinion the best option. Yes it has got sugar in but also Fibre, which helps that the sugar doesn’t spike in your body. It also contains vitamin C, vitamin B1, 2,5,6,9, vitamin A, vitamin E, calcium, magnesium, copper, potassium…. What a loaded fruit 🍊🍊

This is why I want to emphasize that fruit has got very good things in aswell, it is not just empty calories like most other drinks.

Pack in a fresh fruit and let your child drink water. My children like to squeeze a orange in the water and they eat the flesh afterwards.
It also works out much cheaper!

* *the recommendation for fruit for children is 2 per day. Just keep this in mind, just because it has very good properties doesn’t mean you can give 6 oranges a day. Too much fruit can cause bloating, intestinal distress and sugar cravings.
